Reliability and Testing Engineer

Your mission
You will play a key role in the development, testing, and reliability analysis of photonic integrated circuits and plasmonic modulators. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, applying industry standards, and ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of products.

  • Cooperate with the development team to monitor and execute reliability validation plans for new photonic integrated circuit products, aligning with product characteristics and customer requirements.
  • Develop and automate characterization methods for photonic integrated circuits and plasmonic modulators.
  • Plan and conduct industry-standard reliability tests
  • Perform accelerated life testing, lifetime prediction analysis, and failure analysis, including identifying failure mechanisms using industry tools.
  • Maintain lab and testing equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functionality.
  • Perform data analysis for reliability trends
  • Execute Design for Reliability (DfR) exercises, including identifying design risks through DFMEA.
  • Develop reliability assessment plans for product lifecycle under real-world application conditions.
  • Work with other engineers and project leaders on failure analysis during product development and manufacturing.
  • Write detailed reliability reports adhering to reliability testing standards.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, material science, reliability engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience in a reliability-focused role, specifically in the field of photonics or electrical components.
  • Experience with reliability tools, technologies, and methods
  • Strong understanding of failure mechanisms, reliability engineering principles, and statistical process control.
  • Experience with reliability standards, as well as lifetime prediction methods.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis techniques, especially in material science, optical epoxies, lasers, and electrical components.
  • Hands-on experience developing automated test SW, with proficiency in Matlab, Python, and/or C.
  • Previous experience working in the SAFe framework is a nice-to-have
